I'm Eliza. I'm a journalist, scientist, and illustrator.
I'm pursuing a concurrent degree in journalism and marine biology with a minor in science communication at the University of Oregon. I'm part of the UO Institute of Ecology and Evolution Sutherland Lab, the UO Catalyst Journalism Project, and am an intern at the Eugene Weekly.
I love crazy critter facts, am fascinated with the complexities of water issues in the West, and as a formerly shy person, have surprisingly come to realize that I really enjoy talking to strangers.
